Started sushi training at age 22 at a sushi restaurant in Akashi. Opened Sushi Kozakura in Kobe at age 30 after becoming independent. Moved to Osaka at age 38 in pursuit of greater heights and a new chapter.

I wish to share the rich tradition of Japanese sushi and the beauty of the seafood from Hyogo, my home region, with more guests. In close collaboration with fishermen in Akashi, we craft sushi that reflects the bounty of the Hyogo sea. We strive to create an experience where guests can enjoy not only the flavors, but also the atmosphere of the restaurant. I hope you will enjoy the sushi of Kozakura.
